Black Sheep – Rachel Harrison

Book: Black Sheep
Author: Rachel Harrison
Rating: ⭐️2.5/5⭐️

There is not a lot I can say about this one without giving away major spoilers. I would recommend going in blind but I have provided a little information below if you want to know a little more. Whatever you do, do not look at the Goodreads reviews of this as there are so many plot spoilers and you will miss out on some of the shock factor.

Vesper left home at 18 and never looked back as she was leaving a strictly religious community and once you leave, you cannot return. However, an invite to her cousins wedding means she goes back, even though it means reuniting with her mother Constance, a former horror film star and ice queen.

I was warned that this book is like marmite and that I wouldn’t enjoy it. There were parts which shocked me and parts which I appreciated. I can see why some people love this, but this one wasn’t my cup of tea and let’s leave it at that… 😅
