Dee-Dee butchers 40,000 chickens a shift working at a meat packing facility. After suffering many miscarriages, she falls pregnant and is determined to carry the baby to term.

She fled the Pentecostal church years ago and she lives with her boyfriend in sin according to her mother. Her attractive, charismatic friend returns into her life after a 20 year absence. Dee-Dee will not return to living her life in the shadows.

This book is insane, disgusting and disturbing and I am yet to determine if it was in a good a bad way! 😂 I think this would be enjoyed by fans of Black Sheep and Boy Parts.

I found the story a little slow from time to time as the plot was really character based. I absolutely loved the ending but overall, I do think the story was a little too unhinged tor my tastes. I am glad I read it though!
