Listen for the Lie – Amy Tintera

Book: Listen For The Lie
Author: Amy Tintera
Rating: ⭐️4.5/5⭐️

Five years ago, Lucy Chase, who was believed to have killed her best friend, was never charged due to her amnesia and lack of evidence. However, a podcaster investigating her case stirs things up again and she ends up returning back to her home town for the first time since leaving to attend her grandmother’s birthday party.

It’s very rare thriller books are funny and I always find them so refreshing. This book is absolutely hilarious, I loved the main characters sense of humour. The writing style is great and the mixed media elements (told in podcast style) make for an easy read.

I’m not a big audio book girlie, but if you can, I would strongly suggest you listen to this one. It has a cast and the podcast elements of the story telling were phenomenal!

I did guess the ending though otherwise this would have been a five star read!
