The Appeal – Janice Hallett

Book: The Appeal
Author: Janice Hallett
Rating: ⭐️5/5⭐️

This is a mixed media style story. Two newcomers are introduced to the amateur dramatics society and are cast along with many others in the play All My Sons. However, law students Charlotte and Femi have been tasked with solving a murder case involving the amateur dramatics society.

I spotted this book in the hotel book collection and I absolutely loved it! The book is written in an unusual format in a series of emails, texts and items and there are loads of characters to get your head around. This was my first ever experience of reading a mixed media style book.

My husband glanced over at the book when I was reading it by the pool and is now downloading the audiobook even though he doesn’t tend to be fussed on fiction!

The book doesn’t reveal who has been murdered until later on in the book. I did guess who had been murdered but the murderer and the reasoning behind it absolute blew my mind! The plot is very clever and thought out thoroughly.
