An Evil Mind – Chris Carter

Book: An Evil Mind
Author: Chris Carter
Rating: ⭐️4.5/5⭐️

This is book 6 in the Robert Hunter Series. A freak accident in a diner results in the arrest of a man for a possible double homicide as two severed heads are found in his car boot. The suspect claims he is innocent and he will only speak to Detective Robert Hunter.

As with them all, this can be read as a standalone.

This is definitely the best one in the series to date. Almost a 5 star read but not quite! This one was a little different to his past books and while I missed Garcia, Roberts partner, I found it really refreshing. Particularly as we are reading one a month.

As the vibes were a little different, I actually think this one makes a particularly excellent spooky season serial killer read.

The writing style follows the same pattern of short chapters with each and every one ending on a mini cliffhanger. However, this wasn’t quite as gory as the others and the serial killer was by far the most complex and interesting to read about.
