Book: Such Sharp Teeth
Author: Rachel Harrison
Rating: ⭐️3.5/5⭐️
Rory lives in the city and has a high flying job but moves back to her home town to support her pregnant twin sister. On a night out she bumps into Ian, an almost old flame. Later when driving home she hits an animal and makes the mistake of getting out to investigate.
She is attacked yet miraculously comes out alive. However, she’s now incredibly strong, craves meat all the time and can’t wear silver.
This is a cozy horror romance story. I love the main characters sense of humour and learning about her relationships with other side characters.
I loved the plot idea and I like Rachel Harrison’s writing style. It made it so easy to fly through this (even though it was a little slow at the start).
We learn a lot about her past and the trauma’s she has faced. There was strong character development but at times I thought it was a little drastic.
It’s no secret that I am not a fan of romance and I thought I’d feel differently with this being more of a horror style book but the romance elements were just not my cup of tea. I think I’d have enjoyed this more if it had focused more on her relationships with her family but it is just a personal preference thing!
