Book: The Quiet People
Author: Paul Cleave
Rating: ⭐️5/5⭐️
Zach, the difficult child of two crime writers goes missing. Everyone, including the police think the parents are guilty as they have bragged about being about to get away with the perfect crime in the past.
I’ve had this book on my radar for ages and when this came up as being one of the books in the 99p kindle deal for September, I thought it would have been rude not to!
This is one of the best books I have ever read (top 10 of all time) and I nearly DNF’d it. Initially, I found the story really slow, I didn’t find the plot unique and I wasn’t fond of main character Cameron.
However, I got to the 47% mark and Everything. Kicks. Off!! The story goes in a completely different direction to what I initially thought. The book turns from being slow paced to filled with action!
Looking back, I think the things I didn’t like in the first half of the book were possibly done on purpose. I thought the story was original and so well done.
I absolutely adored this. 10/10 would recommend!
