Book: The Crow Girl
Author: Erik Axl Sund
Rating: ⭐️3/5⭐️
Detective Superintendent Jeanette Kihlberg is determined to find out who is responsible for the death of a young boy, despite pushback from people more senior to her. Two more bodies are then discovered and it is clear she is dealing with a serial killer.
This book is nearly 800 pages long, yes that’s right, 800 pages, with teeny tiny writing. It is split into 3 parts.
I adored part one (around 300 pages) and I thought this could be a 4.5 star book. I flew through it and I initially really enjoyed this. Unfortunately the other 500 pages just dragged with more of the same. I personally think that this needed to be way shorter or split into a three book series.
Along with the length, this is an incredibly challenging read and definitely one to check TW’s for. It is incredibly dark and disturbing and not to be taken lightly.
To top it all off, after getting through those 800 pages, I found the ending extremely unsatisfying and this may sound ironic, but it was rushed!😩
