Ermmm okay, so first things first – I think this book needs a new title! I don’t want to give away any spoilers so just trust me on this one!

This has been classed as a thriller but I would have to disagree. Yes, there are some small thriller elements to it but I think it was more of a contemporary book.

I feel like the book is trying to be two things in one and it should have just picked one avenue and gone in that direction. It’s trying to be a thriller but also explore something quite serious. Sorry this is really vague but it’s hard to keep this review spoiler free!

I liked the idea behind the story and I think the author has written the characters well. It was also an easy read so it would be a good palate cleanser.

Overall I found this easy to read but it was predictable and it didn’t shock me once. I can see this being popular on Bookstagram and BookTok next year.
