Book: The Treatment
Author: Sarah Moorhead
Rating: ⭐️4/5⭐️
The book is set in the future where the future of law enforcement is in the hands of Janus Justice, a private health contractor. Offenders go through a 4 tier process, the tier level is dependent on the severity of their crimes. It starts off at Tier 1, for low level crimes where therapy is encouraged. Tier 2 is for trauma and addiction. Tier 3, aversion therapy which is where the criminals get what they have given (an eye for an eye so to speak). Tier 4 is for those where all hope is lost, and no one knows what happens there!
I enjoyed this book and I loved the unique plot. The first half of the book in particular, was extremely gripping! If you’ve seen my stories on the book, you might have seen that main character Grace was not my favourite person. 😂 This being said, even though I didn’t like her, her personality and how she handles situations made for an excellent read!
