Book: Tender is the Flesh
Author: Agustina Bazterrica
Rating: ⭐️4/5⭐️
This is a dystopian novel where a deadly virus has contaminated animal meat. Because of the lack of animals to eat, cannibalism becomes legal. The story follows Marcos who is high up in a human slaughtering factory.
This is just a unique idea for a book and I have never read anything like it. The story is quite slow paced but it is fascinating and horrifying and I felt physically sick multiple times while reading this!
The book is only 220 pages long and I think it could of gone in deeper into what this dystopian world is like. I had loads of questions and I think more areas could have been explored.
However, overall I really enjoyed this and I will be thinking about it for a long time!
