Give Him To Me – Dorothy Koomson

Book: Give Him To Me
Author: Dorothy Koomson
Rating: ⭐️3.5/5⭐️
Publication Date (UK): 13th February 2025

This is book 2 following Every Smile You Fake. Dr Kez Lanyon is back but this time she is working on a completely different case.

Robyn ‘Avril’ Managa was twelve when she witnessed her abusive yet well connected father murder her mother. She was placed into care while he was given a new identity in Witness Protection. Now she’s an adult, she wants to see him again. She starts killing people who may have information as to her fathers new identity and leaves the note “GIVE HIM TO ME” on their bodies.

I was so excited to read this after being obsessed with book 1. This can be read as a standalone but I personally think book 1 should be read first just so you can really get to know the characters.

I absolutely adored the beginning and the ending of the book. I loved the premise of the book and the ending was deliciously twisty!

I felt the middle of the story let the book down. It dragged a little and the main character Kez was doing my head in! I think she’s such a brilliant character but at the halfway point of the book, I felt like she was being so unnecessarily dramatic and it felt out of character for her.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first book but I still thought it was an alright read overall and I still liked it!

Please check the trigger warnings before reading this!
