Book: The Perfect Child
Author: Lucinda Berry
Rating: ⭐️4.5/5⭐️
I think we all know by now what this book is about! But for those unaware, a couple who are struggling to start a family of their own end up fostering and then adopting a girl who had been seriously abused and is seriously disturbed.
When reading the first few chapters I was really confused as to why there is a load of hype surrounding this book. Then after about 50 pages in, I could not put this down!
Normally I like my books to be efficient with no fluff in but for this book I will make an exception!
I prefer books when they have a darkness element to them and this ticked a lot of boxes (yes, we have established in the past that I am a sicko).
After this, I immediately downloaded the short story sequel (which is free with Prime Reading) as I am so invested in the story and the main characters lives!
If you like the sound of this, it is available on Amazon here.
