The Passengers is a dystopian, Sci-Fi, Action thriller involving the hacking of driverless vehicles. Eight of these cars have kidnapped passengers and are set to collide with one another in 2 and a half hours!

I’ve been hesitant to pick this up as it’s essentially a thriller about driverless vehicles. In my day job I’m an environmental scientist and I do a lot of work surrounding electric vehicles (I know it’s different, but still) and I was worried that reading this would make me feel like I was working! 😂

So because of this, I did initially find it a bit slow to get going. But once I got over myself… I could not put this down!

I have never read a story like this and I loved the concept! It’s a relatively dark story but there are elements of humour scattered throughout the plot making it such a joy to read!

It is a standalone novel but if you like the sound of this, I would recommend you check out The One by this author first if you haven’t read that.
