This is book 1 of the Kat and Lock series following DCS Kat Frank, a widowed single mother, who relies on her instincts for her job. She is teamed up as part of a pilot program with AIDE (Artificially Intelligent Detective Entity) Lock, an AI detective to try and solve some cold cases.

Honestly, I didn’t love the sound of this so I’ve not bothered to read it. However, the incredible reviews for this book were too good to ignore so I just had to check it out!

I am so glad I trusted everyone’s reviews, I thought that this was brilliant and it had such a refreshing and unique take on a police procedural type book.

I did this on audio and devoured it in 2 sittings! I thought the characters were fleshed out well and there was strong character development.

I honestly cannot wait to continue on with the series!
